English Regents Academic English Writing Contest
English Regents Academic English Writing ContestThe English Regents Academic English Writing Contest is an interesting essay writing challenge, a choice of several different faculty members from the universities of Essex and North Carolina. The essays will be judged on several different levels. The samples from this contest are provided in alphabetical order. The annual English Regents Academic English Writing Contest invites essay entries on a wide variety of topics. Topics vary by year, but generally include historical events, current issues, life, and literature. Essays are then evaluated by a panel of international scholars. There are a variety of essay formats available in this contest. Some of the categories are close enough to the primary site. Many of the categories, however, will be drawn from a larger group of essays. The result of this division is that some of the contests will be more robust than others. To maximize the use of this competition as a teachable opportunity, th e research team will do some editing on the final draft, correcting and rewriting any parts that seem out of place or do not contribute to the subject at hand. This is the fastest way to make a good change. There are also other categories of this competition that can be used for teaching purposes. If a single paper may be written in any one of the subject areas, such as psychology, literature, American history, general or history, a classroom assignment can make use of the essay as a foundation for a smaller number of specific subject areas. One would be able to go back over the essay, commenting on it as it was written and adding to it the first time. These divisions in the essay are used in the English Regents Academic English Writing Contest. It is a good idea to try to make the most of these divisions in essay writing. One has to do this if there is a need to learn more about a specific area of the subject matter. In the case of a group of essays that are used for teaching purpose s, this will help the students to better relate the words they read to what they are learning. These essays are only part of the whole.A lesson plan for the English Regents Academic English Writing Contest is given in the Introduction section of the guidelines. A lesson plan should be developed before the start of the final assignment. Before this point, the student must decide what assignment they want to do. The introduction helps them decide how to structure their paper, including whether they want to write an abstract or an overview. The Abstract section usually includes a short introduction, which will be followed by a few paragraphs on a single topic. One should discuss the points that they are trying to make in this section. These points may be discussed in the last few sentences of the essay. The Overview section consists of the central idea of the paper. The student should consider how to communicate this idea using only the language of the paper. At this point, it is necessa ry to write down a very short outline of the central idea. This should help the student as they begin the task of composing the main body of the paper.
